INC Design Associates Ltd was commissioned to design and develop a contemporary, welcoming coffee bar at the Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Dudley, for incoming tenant ‘Coffee Lounge’. INC designed an open-plan, relaxed coffee shop for the chain, comprising the baristas' bar area; bar-style high-stool seating, upholstered banquettes, counters and service areas. Lighting treatment included high-level steel Targetti fixings delineating the service areas. Above the upholstered seating areas, pendant lighting was used to create a feeling of intimacy and relaxation.
